Where is Valaste eso?
Valaste is an Altmer Mages Guild member residing in Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, Davon’s Watch, or Mournhold, among other cities. She is the main quest giver and the Mistress of Incunabula for the Mages Guild.

To rank up in the Mage’s guild, you must collect Lorebooks. Improving your rank will grant you new titles, and will unlock further skills. Each Lorebook found gives 5 Reputation, and completing a collection of lorebooks gives 20 reputation.

- Tour the Darkened Maze and improve the ambiance.

Walkthrough
- Speak with Valaste in the Mages Guild in Elden Root (Grahtwood), Wayrest (Stormhaven), or Mournhold (Deshaan).
- Enter the Shivering Isles and speak with Haskill.
- Recover the fork from Vuldngrav.
- Recover the staff from Asakala.
- Talk to Sheogorath.
- Collect the book and return to the Guild.

Eyevea is an island which becomes accessible after completing the Mages Guild quest line. It can be accessed via a portal in some base game guild halls. One hall with a portal can be found in every base game zone.

To reach level 10 you need to first take every book in your faction. I started with Almeri Dominion, so I took lorebooks in Auridon, Grathwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor and Reaper’s March. You do this because if you complete a zone you will get a bonus xp to your mages guild skill line.
How long does it take to level mages guild eso?
It’s about 5 hours from 1-10 if all you do is collect the books. I dedicated an entire afternoon to go from 7-10. You need to clear all the books in about 10-11 zones in order to hit level 10.

To Eyevea[edit] This quest will begin once you’ve reached Mages Guild Rank 5 after completing Chateau of the Ravenous Rodent. Passing any Guildhall will cause a projection of Arch-Mage Shalidor to appear before you and direct you to the guildhall in Rawl’kha (Reaper’s March), Evermore (Bangkorai) or Riften (the Rift).
How do you get to the Shivering Isles?
Arrival to the Shivering Isles is solely at the discretion of Lord Sheogorath, Prince of Madness. He permits the Hero access after killing an insane dark elf that comes out of the portal to the isles. Once they kill him, they can enter the portal.
